Mefix 5 cm x 10 m description

Méfix is a non-woven stretching adhesive strip with a high skin tolerance.
It is recommended to secure dressings and medical devices (cannulas, syringes, drains, catheters, etc).

• Mefix is permeable to air and water vapour: it restricts maceration. The non-woven backing is flexible, stretches and conformable to give the patient better comfort.
• Mefix protects against exterior contaminations such as from blood and other fluids. The adhesive polyacrylate emulsion is non-sensitising and non- irritant. Mefix is well tolerated by the skin and ensures secure fixation.
• The graduated scale marker every 10 cm and the sinusoidal perforated strip of the protective sheet allows for easy fitting and limits sterility errors.
• Mefix may be sterilised with vapour or ethylene oxide.

Mefix 5 cm x 10 m application technique

1. Cut off the amount of Mefix required thanks to the graduated markers every 10 cm;
2. Separate the two protective sheets by gently pulling off the two edges of Mefix. Remove the smallest sheet;
3. Apply the adhesive part of the Mefix on the dry and clean skin and peel off the second protective sheet. Gently apply the other adhesive part, without stretching, across the entire surface for full adhesion.
